The Jim Goldie-trained speedster clocked an excellent figure when picking off the front-running Tatterstall in the dying strides of that handicap and a similarly patient ride could pay dividends tonight providing a subtle change of race tempo is not the undoing of the selection.

His narrow win three weeks ago is already working out nicely with fifth-home Dyonisos scoring since, while Reigning Profit (6th) has also obliged to endorse the form and Gangsta Man can deliver another statement here.

Superior Choice arrives in Scotland looking to complete a hat-trick following a couple of victories achieved in minor races.

The layers have clearly taken few chances, installing the Gosden runner as a short-priced favourite to take this step up in class in his stride.

His trainers are extremely adept at plotting their way through the grades with an improving middle distance talent and there is little doubt he will be tough to beat.

However, Plaid already has a course victory to her name and is bred to get better with racing and age so may prove a spot of value at 11/26.50 to trouble the market leader.

The selection is excused a below-par effort at Goodwood last time where the soft ground may have been her undoing and she makes some appeal back on a sound surface tonight.

Woohoo has finished with the silver medal on her last two starts following an unlucky start in the aforementioned handicap won by Gangsta Man.

Two trips to Ayr have seen the selection run commendably and, although she has very little if anything in hand of the handicapper, a switch back to a stiffer track could see her gain compensation for a series of creditable efforts.
