Two course victories for Bellarchi this spring have taken the five-year-old's Musselburgh record to four wins from five starts and it is easy to forgive her effort at Chester last time as she arrives searching for success number five.
Drawn 11 of 13 over seven furlongs of the Roodee was a scenario that was unlikely to end well for Grant Tuer's mare and so it transpired as she finished ninth of the 13 runners behind Supido who benefited from stall two to score tidily.
However, the selection was only beaten three-and-a-half lengths and that event has already thrown up a winner when Brighton Boy, who finished a place behind Bellarchi when also drawn wide, scored at Thirsk over the weekend.
Tuer was also on the mark with Empire Of Light at Thirsk and Bellarchi might be handicapped up to the hilt here, but tackling her favoured conditions might mitigate the ratings rise.

Hover On The Wind blew out at Beverley last time, posting a disappointing effort after being fancied in these quarters, however he is worth a chance to atone for that lacklustre display back at a track he has proved effective at before.
The No Nay Never gelding blasted away from the stalls under Barry McHugh that day and traded considerably shorter than his SP before cutting out at the furlong marker and dropping away to finish last, albeit he was hampered late on.
After a good run in March over course and distance when unlucky in the run, that was a disappointing reverse, especially as his trainer has enjoyed success of late with the likes of Novello Lad and Run This Way so clearly has his north Yorkshire string in good heart at present.
Hover On The Wind has the opportunity to redeem his reputation a little here, returning to a course where he ran so well on his penultimate start and it will be disappointing if he can't make an impact back on a flat track.

My regular reader will recall that we were with Daytona Lady at Wolverhampton and the mare ran a commendable race to finish third, beaten three quarters of a length, despite proving very easy to back pre-race.
The six-year-old makes her 13th start at Southwell in this Class 6 sprint and fingers crossed it is lucky for some with Ruth Carr's daughter of Bungle Inthejungle striving for course win number three.
Today's slight drop in grade could see Daytona Lady back in the winner's enclosure and the switch to a longer straight should suit a horse that hit the line strongly around the tight contours of Wolverhampton.
She was beaten by a horse in a decent vein of form that day, so hopefully compensation awaits here for her in-form stable.
