Tattie Bogle is no superstar, but he is defintely better than his latest effort at Leicester and could bounce back in this winnable Class 5 with Andrew Mullen back on board.
The grey son of Outstrip had little or no chance from his low draw at Leicester as he was kept on an unfavoured strip of ground closer to the stands' side rail than the main protagonists who fought out the finish down the centre of the track.
Ideally, the selection would still have run a little better than his finishing position of eighth, but he was a game winner at Musselburgh under today's rider on his penultimate start and could easily leave his latest effort well behind under more favourable circumstances.
A high draw on the straight track at Leicester has been a huge advantage for a while now, so it is worth forgiving Tattie Bogle that blip and, with any luck, the market may not forgive him a 15-length reverse.

From a Guineas winner in Kameko out of a Galileo mare (Away), Kamaway increased her value markedly with a first career win over course and distance last week.
Appearing to relish the stiffer test of stamina produced by some showers which fell during racing, Eve Johnson Houghton's late-maturing filly hit the line strongly, unsurprisingly recording the top finishing speed percentage and topspeed on the RaceiQ metrics.
She remains in the same grade here under a 5lb penalty and, for all that she takes on a couple of other recent winners in Timely Affair and Tilani, Kamaway looks capable of shouldering top weight to another success with the cut in the ground sure to suit the selection.
Her stable have also struck with Night In Vegas and Valkyrie Storm in recent days so she appeals as the type to follow up.
