Haydock, 15.15 - Back King Ulanda each-way @ 9/25.50

It has been a patchy season to date for the Oliver Greenall and Josh Guerriero operation, but recent signs have been more promising and King Ulanda may continue the resurgence in this Class 4 affair.

The six-year-old hasn't been seen since chasing home Saligo Bay at this venue before Christmas, but has probably been kept fresh for a spring campaign and better ground.

Drying conditions after 3ml of Monday rain should suit the selection who ran respectably in the autumn on decent ground and hit the line strongly on his latest start under conditional Ben Smith.

Craig Nichol takes over in the saddle here and the combination may thrive now the selection stretches out in trip off a workable mark of 114.   

Haydock, 15.50 - Back Heather Honey @ 9/43.25

Heather Honey did this column a favour when landing a punt at Catterick last November and I'm hoping conditions are perfect for her to repeat the trick.

The daughter of Getaway has held her form well since, finishing placed in both subsequent starts, the latter of which came in a red-hot course and distance handicap won by Dalston Lad.

The winner has since captured a Grade 2 by four lengths, while fourth home Phantomofthepoints and Both Barrels (6th) have both obliged since in decent contests to endorse the form.

This class drop should prove ideal for Heather Honey who represents a team that continues to churn out winners at a good rate during their best season as a partnership.
