Betfair tipster Sam Turner returns with two selections for Leopardstown's rearranged card on Monday...

Leopardstown, 13.15 - Back Love Me Tender @ 7/24.50

Sadly, most of the fancy ante-post prices about Love Me Tender disappeared quicker than the impromptu lake which featured at Leopardstown on Thursday evening, however the son of Doctor Dino still makes plenty of appeal stepping up in trip here.

The five-year-old faces a tough task with strong stayer and stablemate Doctor Steinberg in opposition and the case for the favourite strengthened when Thedeviluno, a horse he beat comfortably at Navan in December, won the River Don at Doncaster in style.

However, Love Me Tender won his first two hurdles by an aggregate of 25 lengths and there were signs on his latest start that he was ready for more of a stamina test.

The selection didn't jump with his normal fluency behind Skylight Hustle on his first spin for Mark Walsh and his pilot will be hoping to find more rhythm at his hurdles than he did that day.

Hopefully, he can recover that slick technique here and give his stablemate and a trio of rivals from the Gordon Elliott stable a run for their money.

Leopardstown, 14.25 - Back Staffordshire Knot each-way @ 18/119.00

The ground can't be heavy enough for Staffordshire Knot so with conditions at their most exacting, the son of Shantou might spring a surprise at a tasty price in this well-contested handicap.

Young conditional Carl Millar has struck up a great relationship with the selection, partnering him to impressive successes at Punchestown and Clonmel prior to Danny Gilligan steering the eight-year-old into a gallant second behind Stayers' Hurdle aspirant Home By The Lee at Gowran in the Grade 2 Galmoy Hurdle.

Although that was only 11 days ago, Staffordshire Knot has a decent record when he is returned to the track quickly as wins after nine and 14 day breaks illustrate and, with six places on offer, he makes some each-way appeal, even off top-weight.
