Ryan McCue reflects on a monumental day at Royal Ascot

"Paul Hanagan deserved the ban for using the whip and drifting across but I think it would have been harsh to reverse the result."

We're absolutely flying through Royal Ascot this week, which continues to deliver, and Ryan McCue is back with us looking to provide three winning NAPs on the spin...

Talk us through the card, starting with the shock in the Norfolk Stakes

It was a good result for the bookmakers to start the day with a 50/1 winner in The Ridler beating the 7/4 favourite, who was matched at around 1.49 in the steward's enquiry to keep the race and there looked to be plenty of trading on the exchange going on throughout the enquiry.

Paul Hanagan deserved the ban for using the whip and drifting across but I think it would have been harsh to reverse the result.

In the 15:05, we were happy laying Newfoundland at around 8/1 all morning so although Secret State was joint favourite it wasn't too bad of a result for us as we tried keeping under the general price on him most of the morning.

Magical Lagoon was a big drifter near the off in the 15:40, but it looked as though there was a lump up to lay him at BSP because he ended up BSP of 5.5 when he was about 4/6 before they jumped. It was so and so result for us with no damage done so we move on. Sea Silk Road went 1.05 in running here.

We also took on Stradivarius in the Gold Cup with a Betfair Boost which you can find daily on site so keep an eye out for them as they're generally top industry price so plenty of value is to be had!

Kyprios was weak enough in the market since Trueshan came out early doors, so we were just happy to see him hold on ahead of a fast-finishing Stradivarius in 3rd

Lets hear your Friday NAP, Ryan. You're on a hattrick now...

I'm really keen to be against Changingoftheguard in the King Edward at 17:35 so I'm siding with Ottoman Fleet for Charlie Appleby & William Buick.

He should improve plenty from his latest win at Newmarket as everything didn't go smoothly on that occasion. This may turn into a test of speed as their doesn't look to be obvious pace in the race and so it should set up nicely for Ottoman Fleet to hopefully pick them up in the straight.
