Day 2 of Royal Ascot was very much in favour of the punters, although Bay Bridge's defeat helped those on the traders floor. Ryan McCue is back with his view...

A few bad results for you today, Ryan. A couple must have hurt there?

Dramatised was a poor start for us, she was sent off favourite in the end over the American Filly Love Reigns and so ended up being a loser for us.

Eldar Eldarov won the second and although he was another winning favourite it wasn't a bad result for us in the book as we sat 5/2 overnight and this morning when there was plenty of 3/1 around, we were out to get some of the beaten horses in that so that's one we done ok with.

As a result, especially coming back from so far behind, we've gone 6/1 from 16/1 for Eldar Eldarov to win the St Leger at Doncaster later in the season.

Bay Bridge getting beat must have helped?

Bay Bridge couldn't get past State Of Rest in the Prince of Wales and so that was a good result for us to stop the multiples running up as had he have gone in he'd have been the 3rd winning favourite in a row!

However, Saffron Beach done it very well in the Duke Of Cambridge and she was yet another well fancied horse to win so we could've done with a bigger priced winner in that but again it wasn't the worst as we'd taken on Bashkirova with an OddsBoost but we also have one with Little Big Bear so by the time this is released people will know whether the Windsor Castle was a winning or losing race for us!

We did pay three places on that race, despite the late non-runner making it a seven runner field, just to make sure we kept things fair for our customers.

What's your NAP tomorrow?

Secret State in the King George V Stakes at 15:05. He steps up in trip from 1m to 1m4f but he was a winner over 1m2f on his second start and the way he races suggests to me that he will have no issues with the longer trip here.

The form of his wins looks solid and a mark of 93 I feel underestimates him. There looks to be plenty of potential improvers in here, but I think Secret State can improve the most.
