A trio of good chances in competitive Handicap Hurdle

Henri The Second, Hugo New Horse, Twin Power - 13:50 Sandown

Paul has a trio of runners in the Betfair 'National Hunt' Novices' Handicap Hurdle Final at 13:50 and readily admits that it's a race he targets and likes to win.

On Henri The Second Paul says, "It's been his aim really, he's a Grade 2 winner at Sandown earlier in the season, he's got plenty of weight but he's a classy horse who can go well."

Paul also says that Hugos New Horse will love the ground and Twin Power from the bottom of the weight - who has finished first and second in his last two runs at the track - also has a chance.

In summary, Paul says he has "three lovely chances" in the race.

Betfair Imperial Cup hope has done tonnes of work

Iceo - 14:25 Sandown

The feature race of the day is the Betfair Imperial Cup at 14:25 in which Paul relies on Iceo to bring home the prize money.

Paul say on Iceo's second over course and distance last time, "This has been the aim ever since then, he needed the race very badly and I was amazed at how well he run.

"He's done tonnes of work since then and he's come on, I think he's got a lovely chance and he's one of my best chances of the weekend."

Soft ground to suit later Larchmont and Quel

Larchmont Lass - 15:00 Sandown

Quel Destin - 15:35 Sandown

Later in the afternoon Paul has two more chances courtest of Larchmont Lass in the bumper and Quel Destin in the Novices' Handicap Chase.

On Larchmont Lass Paul says, "I think softer ground and a stiffer track will suit her and I wouldn't be surprised if we turned the form around with Goodtimecrew."

While on Quel Destin Paul says, "He's one of the best prices of the weekend among my runners. He's got everything, he's got the right trip, the right ground, he'll run very well."
