Making only his third start over fences under Rules, lightly raced The Bluesman could be able to continue his good run of form following a win and second-placed effort for Olly Murphy this season. He's up 4lb for chasing home Heeztheboy as the 10/111.91 favourite at Leicester when last seen, but did stay on well from the rear that field and could take another step forward for the experience.
The Olly Murphy-trained contender was able to show promise for former trainer Paul Nicholls following this third to Patter Merchan in a Dromahane point-to-point, placing third to Andashan on Rules debut in a Kempton bumper, before recording a 14-length victory over Shade Of Winter at Chepstow.
The Bluesman landed his maiden hurdle at the same Welsh venue, showing great potential, and should be able to progress beyond his current rating of 126.

Harsh is yet to make a significant impression in two starts for Mickey Bowen, but could be worth keeping onside considering some of his earlier form. The drop back to the intermediate distance should suit and he may be well treated from a rating of 125.
The grey finished a length-and-three-quarters second to now 137-rated chaser Mirazur West at Cork last spring, returning to form following a disappointing run, and has previously run well from his current mark over hurdles, including when sixth to Al Gasparo in a Listed Leopardstown handicap last winter.
Prior to joining his previous trainer Gordon Elliott, the son of Dark Angel landed a 23-runner handicap hurdle at the Punchestown Festival for Joseph O'Brien, following on from a creditable fourth at odds of 40/141.00 in the Fred Winter at Cheltenham.
Harsh has shown to possess ability and there could be more to come from him. It's too early to give up on the six-year-old, and he is one to note each-way at 33/134.00.

At 50/151.00, outsider of the field Intellotto is no forlorn hope despite having to significantly improve on his recent efforts. He's returning over hurdles following a few runs over fences and a disappointing effort in the Irish Cesarewitch, and is making his debut for Daisy Hitchins and his new connections having departed Joseph O'Brien's yard in Ireland.
For his former trainer, the flashy chestnut did land a 10-length success over Jigoro and Ambitious Fellow on chasing debut last year, and had featured in Grade One contests won by sir Gino and Kargese as a juvenile hurdler. He had also beaten a number of noteworthy horses to land his maiden hurdle as a three-year-old, including Mordor, Ndaawi, Lark In The Mornin and future Breeders' Cup winner Ethical Diamond.
Plenty of water has gone under the bridge since then, but Intellotto has shaped with promise in the past and can hold his own on a going day. Whilst he'll need plenty to go right during the race, and will need to be at his very best against some tough opponents, his price is too big to ignore, particularly considering he is in receipt of weight with only a few pounds to find with the leading contenders.

Crest Of Fortune represents value in this select four-runner field at a price of 10/111.00. He's on the same rating as The Jukebox Kid on a mark of 137, 1lb higher than Western Knight, and has potential on his side as a six-year-old with 10lb to find with favourite Thomas Mor.
Things didn't go right for him in the Kauto Star Novices' Chase behind Kitzbuhel at Kempton over Christmas, but that run is worth forgiving, and if he can bounce back to form having recovered from it, he should be able to hold his own in this field. He had previously been an eyecatcher in defeat when fourth to Wendigo at Newbury in a Grade Two contest there, staying on well over the intermediate distance and shaping as though a step up in trip would suit.
In his opening run of the season, the son of Doyen chased home the likeable Zurich at Cheltenham in a race that has produced multiple subsequent winners. The winner had the benefit of race fitness on his side, whilst Crest Of Fortune was making his chasing debut following a 204-day break.
In the past, Crest Of Fortune has shown promise against horses such as Regent's Stroll and when third to Julius Des Pictons in a noteworthy Grade One Sefton at the Grand National Festival. He won his maiden hurdle comfortably beating Jaccours, before recording form figures of 22213 during the rest of his novice hurdling campaign, including that placed effort at the top table.
A likeable horse who has the scope for further improvement, Crest Of Fortune shouldn't be discounted in this field for Anthony Honeyball under Rex Dingle, and could outrun his odds.

Jeu d'Opale could be a welcome winner for Venetia Williams in this two-and-a-half-mile contest. He was an early faller at Leicester when last seen, having become outpaced at Lingfield over the minimum distance in his previous run, but should be better suited by this intermediate distance and may be well treated from a mark of 102.
This is only his sixth start and he remains unexposed in search of his first win for the yard. He was able to shape with promise in France previously, and there could be more to come from the son of Jeu St Eloi, who shouldn't be discounted in this field.

Your Darling put in a much improved effort when narrowly denied at Kempton by The Doyen Chief last month. He was able to take a significant step forward from his return to action following a 544-day break at Ascot in November, when unable to land a blow on winner Neon Moon despite being sent off at odds of 9/43.25.
Only 2lb higher than his last winning mark and with proven course form in his favour, Your Darling could be a fitting winner on Valentine's Day. He's lightly raced for an 11-year-old, making only his 15th start over fences and 20th appearance overall, and is well treated at the weights for Ben Pauling and Ben Jones, making plenty of appeal.

Doha, 15:10 - Back Holloway Boy @ SP
The extremely likeable Holloway Boy holds leading claims as he drops in grade in this mile contest. There's plenty in his favour as he bids for a fourth win for Karl Burke, and, on the back of a creditable third to Opera Ballo in a Group One that didn't pan out favourably for him in Meydan, he could be tough to beat under Sam James.
A surprise 40/141.00 winner of the Chesham Stakes on debut at Royal Ascot almost four years ago, Holloway Boy has shown on multiple occasions that he's a classy performer more than capable of holding his own against exceptional rivals.
Last year, he was able to finish third to Romantic Warrior, before chasing home Nations Pride, having previously recorded the second win of his career in the Superior Mile Stakes on Betfair Sprint Cup day at Haydock.
This trip in quicker conditions will suit Holloway Boy, who has proven his credentials and capabilities at a higher level in the past. He should pose a dangerous threat in this field and can put in a bold bid.
Jamie Snowden-trained Git Maker has struggled for consistency in recent runs and must bounce back from his run at Chepstow in the Welsh Grand National when pulled up, but is on a mark of 129 from which he can be competitive on a going day, and has first-time blinkers on which may spark some improvement.
The softer conditions could also be in his favour considering he was able to finish third to Macdermott in the Scottish Grand National a couple of years ago, when rated 4lb higher, in ground described as soft, following a second-placed effort to future Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Inothewayurthinkin in the Kim Muir when outrunning odds of 28/129.00.
The proven stayer represents an in-form yard under in-form rider Gavin Sheehan, and, with no question marks surrounding his staying credentials, should be able to make the frame over this distance at the track. He's 9lb lower than when he was placed third in last year's renewal, and, although he'll need to show significant improvement on that effort, struggling to get into a rhythm, he shouldn't be discounted from a handy mark at an each-way price.

Ian Williams-trained Real Dream could be able to outrun his odds under Billy Loughnane in this competitive staying contest. He is a likeable performer on his day and has been able to run better than his price would suggest in the past, including when fifth to Ethical Diamond at odds of 25/126.00 in the Ebor last summer.
The seven-year-old was only narrowly denied by Coltrane in a Listed Sandown contest in July, despite being sent off at odds of 25/126.00 and was able to place at 33/134.00 in a Kempton contest on debut for his current yard.
The son of Lope De Vega couldn't land a blow on winner Sunway in a Meydan Group Three when last seen, but he may improve for his first outing in warmer climes and that was his first run since the Ebor following a 153-day absence.
With race fitness in his favour this time around, it could be worth keeping the faith in Real Dream, who has proven stamina and is no stranger to defying the odds.

Carrying a low weight in this contest, Petit King makes each-way appeal for owner-trained Edward Cawley as he attempts to get off the mark over fences at the seventh time of asking.
He wasn't able to run with credit in a competitive Leopardstown handicap over hurdles at Christmas, but had previously finished a creditable fouth to Balko d'Ange at odds of 40/141.00 over timber on his return to action at Navan.
The 10-year-old is yet to show the best of his ability over the larger obstacles, but did finish a decent fifth to Hartu d'Arc at Clonmel a couple of years ago and has had excuses for some of his disappointing efforts.
There could be more to come from Petit King over fences and he is one to note each-way under Phillip Enright.

Katie's Saturday Racing Multi
Betfair is offering Bet £10 Get £10 on Racing Multis each weekend ahead of the Festival, and the multi that makes the most appeal this Saturday is an across the card each-way double at Ascot and Haydock including Your Darling and Git Maker.
Your Darling improved plenty for his return to action following a 544-day break when narrowly denied by The Doyen Chief at Kempton when last seen, and is only 2lb higher than his last winning mark. Despite being an 11-year-old, this is only his 15th run over fences and he has the class to put in a bold bid for the Ben Pauling team under an in-form Ben Jones.
Git Maker must bounce back from a pulled up effort in the Welsh Grand National, and hasn't been able to seriously threaten over fences since third to Macdermott in the 2024 Scottish Grand National. First-time blinkers could spark some improvement and he's a proven stayer who appears on a workable mark, 3lb lower than when a creditable second to future Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Inothewayurthinkin in the Kim Muir at Cheltenham.
