Diego Dias-trained Masked Angel remains a maiden as she makes her 15th career start, but has caught the eye on a few occasions in defeat in recent months and could be capable of landing her first success in this contest. She was luckless in her latest outing behind Inishmot Prince, eventually finishing fourth of the 13 runners, failing to get a clear run in the final stages when appearing to have plenty left in reserves.
Previously, the daughter of Harry Angel was able to be competitive in handicaps over this course-and-distance, including when denied only a short distance by Rappell from a mark of 57 in September, outrunning her odds of 25/126.00 in a first-time tongue-tie on that occasion. She was only beaten a length-and-a-quarter in a November contest here by Lismacbryan Hill, and finished fifth when two-and-a-half-lengths behind Arctic Steps in her subsequent run, too.
Having put in multiple promising efforts at track in recent appearances, this could be the time for Masked Angel to finally strike. She's on a workable mark and has 7lb claimer Rory Mulligan in the saddle, further easing her burden.

Top weight Into The Park has Toby McCain-Mitchell aboard claiming 5lb and easing his burden as he bids to return to form. He was pulled up on his return to action in first-time cheekpieces at Exeter when last seen, but that run may be worth forgiving and he remains a horse to keep an eye on.
Trained by Philip Hobbs and Johnson White, Into The Park returns over hurdles from a mark only 4lb higher than his last win when recording a three-length success over Inca De Lafayette at Taunton a couple of years ago. He was narrowly denied from the same mark of 124 under Ben Jones earlier this season, when just beaten by Dargiannini on his seasonal return following a 244-day break at Uttoxeter.
Making appeal at the weights, this contest could suit the seven-year-old who is a dual winner over hurdles. He remains lightly raced and could be capable of showing further progression, making him one to note.

Course-and-distance winner Portoro is only 4lb higher than his last win having been running consistently well in recent months recording form figures of 2425 since November.
The furthest he has been beaten in those four runs is two-and-a-half-lengths in his latest outing here, when he struggled to get a clear run in time behind U S S Constitution. He was the 6/42.50 favourite that day under Rossa Ryan, who retains the ride, and could go a few places better this time around.
The Martin Dunne-trained contender is on a handy mark and has proven course form over this trip. He caught the eye when last seen, and, with a more favourable trip in the straight, should be able to make his presence felt as he bids for a fourth career win in his 30th start.
