York, 14:20 - Back Redorange E/W @ 14/115.00

Despite being 14lb higher than his last winning mark, four-year-old gelding Redorange makes each-way appeal under Ryan Moore in this competitive handicap.

The son of Mehmas put in a number of good efforts last term, performing consistently well in tough races including when a close third at Goodwood from the same rating as his current mark. He has plenty of experience in big field handicaps and has placed at Listed level, too.

This is only his 13th career start and he remains capable of showing further improvement still for Clive Cox, making him one to note as he seeks a third career win.

York, 14:20 - Back Copper Knight E/W @ 20/121.00

Likeable veteran Copper Knight recorded a 19th career success when winning at Beverley last week, and could be capable of another big performance at his beloved York.

The Knavesmire specialist has plenty of winning form at this track and has recently proven he still retains plenty of ability for Tim Easterby. He's impossible to rule out in these familiar surroundings and could put in a bold bid at a price under James Sullivan in his 119th race.

Salisbury, 14:40 - Back Tryfan E/W @ 9/110.00

Five-year-old gelding Tryfan has course-and-distance winning form in his favour as well as the benefit of a recent run as he makes his Turf return for Harry Charlton in this mile-and-three-quarters staying handicap.

Seeking a fourth career win, the son of Nathaniel is on the same mark as his last win which came on the all-weather in September. He's rated 5lb higher on an all-weather surface but has been able to win on Turf previously at this venue, therefore cannot be discounted.

Capable of better than shown when last seen, Tryfan could return to form in this contest in familiar surroundings and is a horse to note under Hector Crouch.

York, 14:55 - Back Sea Force @ 9/25.50

William Haggas-trained Sea Force is up 1lb for a recent third at Thirsk when he failed to get the run of the race. It's a performance worth upgrading and he remains a horse to keep onside considering he appears well treated at the weights and is capable of progressing beyond his current mark.

Still lightly raced and unexposed, the four-year-old gelding has been able to show a good level of form and has been competitive on multiple occasions in competitive handicaps. He was beaten only a length-and-a-quarter by Fifth Column in a 17-runner handicap at the Ebor Festival here, and, although he's now 6lb higher than his last win, there could be more to come from him and he should be able to pose a threat with a favourable trip.

York, 14:55 - Back Galeron E/W @ 16/117.00

Galeron may be worth forgiving for his effort at Doncaster in the Lincoln when last seen, and he could be another contender on the card worth keeping the faith in as he appears on a workable mark with plenty of valuable experience in his favour.

The six-year-old gelding put in a number of creditable efforts in tough races last season, including when third to Treble Tee at Doncaster and when narrowly denied at the same venue in his final start of the term. He's on a workable mark of 94 with Jack Callan claiming 3lb, and holds a solid each-way chance at the weights if improving for his opening run of the term.

Middleton Fillies' Stakes, York, 15:30 - Back Red Letter E/W @ 9/110.00

King's Trail didn't run his race in the 2,000 Guineas when last seen, following two wins at Kempton, and still has to prove himself at Stakes level, however, he remains unexposed and is capable of showing further improvement in only his fourth start, and his latest run may be worth forgiving.

A step up to an extended mile-and-a-quarter on a different track should suit, as could an easier surface. His dam, Crown Walk, won on good to soft and was only narrowly denied at Group Two level in soft ground, and there's other soft ground form in the family too, notably from Cutlass Bay, a Prix Ganay winner who recorded Group Two success on soft ground over a mile-and-a-quarter.

The son of Sea The Stars shaped with great promise in two all-weather wins over the winter into spring, showing he possesses talent. There should be more to come from him, and, although the yard has been short of winners recently, he may be worth keeping the faith in.

Dante Stakes, York, 16:05 - Back King's Trail @ 11/26.50

In this small but select field, Ger Lyons-trained Red Letter may represent some value under Colin Keane. She has the benefit of a recent run over a couple of her rivals and has proven form in softer conditions, which should hold her in good stead if the forecast rainfall does arrive.

On reappearance at the Curragh in Group Three company, the daughter of Frankel stuck to the task well late on when finishing ahead of Green Impact, beaten only by two race fit rivals, both of whom are progressive and appear on an upward trajectory.

The Group Three and Listed winner has a bit to find on ratings with the rest of the field, but she has shown a good level of form against some tough opposition previously, narrowly beaten by Lake Victoria as a juvenile as well as being just denied by subsequent Group One winner Barnavara last summer.

With race fitness on her side, Red Letter could put in a bold bid and outrun her odds in her tenth career start.

Salisbury, 16:28 - Back Pierian @ SP

Pierian made a promising start behind stablemate Sea The Storm on debut at Wetherby last month, and is entitled to take a significant step forward for her first racecourse appearance.

The well-bred filly is out of Irish Oaks winner Great Heavens, a sister to the brilliant Nathaniel. She's a half-sister to Group Three-winning Thunder Drum, who fetched €1,100,000, as well as Listed-placed Sun Bear, who was purchased for €620,000.

The form of her debut run could work out well and there should be plenty of further improvement to come from the promising filly, who represents an in-form yard.

York, 16:40 - Back Boston Dan E/W @ 66/167.00

Richard and Peter Fahey-trained Boston Dan is one to note at a massive each-way price under Oisin Orr in this 5f sprint.

The three-year-old colt was able to outrun odds of 66/167.00 to finish second to Song Of The Clyde in a valuable juvenile race at the Ebor Festival last year, before finishing second to now 106-rated Division in Listed company here, finishing ahead of subsequent winners including Nell Gwyn Stakes winner Azleet, now rated 105, and Flying Comet, who beat Words Of Truth in Meydan, achieving a rating of 100.

With noteworthy course form as well as form at this level, Boston Dan could represent value at a huge price. He must improve for his first run of the season but could take a step forward from the outing with the return to familiar surroundings likely to help.
