Jack Jones-trained Gifted Angel performed with some credit when fourth to Newtown Rambler at Warwick earlier this month, putting in a competitive effort in the field of 13 to outrun his odds of 18/119.00. He's up 1lb here, in a much smaller field, and should be able to perform well again, this time in the hands of Sam Twiston-Davies
The six-year-old grey has won three from 10 hurdles races to date, shaping with great potential as a juvenile, featuring at Grade Two level when fourth to Burdett Road at Cheltenham. He has won a couple of times on the all-weather since then, but now back over obstacles could be able to add to his earlier successes with a return to the winners' enclosure.
On a workable mark with conditions likely to suit, the son of Dark Angel can put in a bold bid and warrants consideration as he seeks a sixth career success.

Must Go Now is one to note each-way for Edward Cawley if he can return to some form, having finished fifth at odds of 28/129.00 in the series final at the Punchestown Festival last season.
He has been out of form in recent runs but the yard saddled a winner this week and, back over hurdles from a more workable mark with Eoin Staples claiming 5lb, can fare better.
First-time cheekpieces could also spark improvement, and Must Go Now, at odds of 40/141.00, shouldn't be discounted with six places available, especially considering his performances in this series last season.

Onlymammycanloveme put in an excellent performance in defeat at Gowran Park when last seen, finishing best of all, rallying to place second to Sky And Sand at odds of 11/112.00. Making the frame appeared unlikely mid-race, but he kept on well, finding second gear late in the closing stages to finish with an eyecatching run.
Up 3lb for that second-placed effort, he has capable 3lb claimer Tiernan Power-Roche in the saddle, putting him in with a strong chance at the weights once again. He's a horse to keep onside and should be capable of putting in a solid effort following a good run for Seamus Neville.

Another to note at a big price in this race is Kimy for Tom Mullins. She is another who has struggled for form this season, but wasn't disgraced when behind Cousin Kate at this track in January and is now 7lb lower than when finishing second to Vischio at last season's Dublin Racing Festival.
The six-year-old has shown enough ability in the past to suggest she can return to form at some point this term, and, with Sean Cleary-Farrell claiming 7lb, carries a low weight which could allow her to bounce back following a disappointing run.

Flashy chestnut Scudamore caught the eye ahead of his Warwick appearance last month when a distant third to dominant winner Mr Griffiths in the 3m2f contest. He had previously finished a three-length second to Ballin Boy from a 1lb higher mark over this course-and-distance, beaten only by a rival now 13lb higher off level weights, with the winner subsequently claiming a 14-length success.
Only 3lb higher than his last win having made the frame from a higher mark since then in handicap company, Scudamore is one to note for the in-form Jennie Candlish in this staying contest, capable of making his presence felt in the field. He has run well here previously, and has shown enough ability on occasion to suggest he can pose a threat.

Bidding for a third career win in his tenth outing, four-year-old gelding Stratusnine makes appeal in this 6f sprint. He is 7lb higher than his previous success but is yet to be fully exposed and could have further improvement to come.
The Hugo Palmer-trained contender showed good form in novice company as a juvenile when beaten by the likes of now 104-rated Simmering, 92-rated Dark Cloud Rising, and when getting off the mark to deny Intrusively at Ayr. He was off for 402 days before returning to action in November, improving for his reappearance to win at Wolverhampton, running well in his subsequent run too.
Sent off at odds of 33/134.00 in Listed company at Lingfield, Stratusnine unseated at the start before returning to action with a fifth back in handicap company at Kempton. He can fare better and could be worth keeping the faith in under Jason Hart, considering he's on a workable mark having made the frame from a higher rating in the past, and remains open to further progression.
