Jake Dickson has a 23 percent strike-rate in apprentice races on the Turf so far this year and could be capable of guiding Perfidia to another success from a 1lb higher mark than his previous win.
The four-year-old gelding had been running consistently well before his latest disappointing effort, but is capable of bouncing back and could be worth keeping onside from his current mark. He makes appeal at the weights and should be capable of making his presence felt as he bids for a third career success.

Persian Force filly What A Girl Wants finished down the field when sent off at odds of 66/167.00 for the Albany Stakes last week, but she didn't get the run of things and failed to find a clear run. It's an outing worth putting a line through considering the way the race panned out for her, and she's capable of much better.
Now trained by Kevin Philippart De Foy, the filly shaped with great promise for former trainer Robson De Aguiar earlier this season, finishing third to Star Prospect at the Curragh before reversing that form at Naas, whilst also chasing home Velozee in Listed company.
There should be plenty more to come from the filly who has run well and shown plenty of potential. She should be capable of holding her own at this level and may be worth keeping the faith in as she bids to get off the mark.

Ruth Carr-trained Invincible Crown caught the eye in defeat at Thirsk when last seen recently, staying on well from the rear of the field but struggling for a clear run in the closing stages. He finished a creditable fourth at odds of 18/119.00, beaten only a length-and-a-quarter by winner Crocus Time, and, if able to match that level of performance, should be able to hold his own in this 5f handicap.
The four-year-old gelding is winless on Turf but has made the frame on this surface on multiple occasions in the past. He's currently 7lb lower than when recording his latest success at Wolverhampton, placed first that day, therefore is on a workable rating of 56, unchanged from his latest run.

Ancient Rome hasn't been seen to his best in recent runs but things haven't panned out favourably for him and he's capable of better. He has dropped to a mark of 95, 10lb below his last winning handicap mark, and should fare better with a more favourable trip in this mile handicap.
Trained by Charlie Hills, the son of War Front showed great talent in his younger days and shocked on debut for his current yard with a 33/134.00 success at Goodwood. He struck in the Mint Millions in 2023, and has since been competitive at Group Two level as well as finishing third to Nations Pride in the Arlington Millions Stakes.
Last summer, Ancient Rome was able to place in a Sandown handicap from a 5lb higher mark, beaten only three-quarters-of-a-length by Flying Frontier, proving he still retains ability and may be worth keeping the faith in.

Three-year-old gelding Ice Cold Alex shaped with promise as a juvenile last term with a debut success at Pontefract before respectable efforts in races won by Old Is Gold and Rogue Supremacy respectively. He showed he possesses ability and put in a creditable performance in his second start this term too, when fourth at Beverley.
When last seen, the Ollie Pears-trained contender couldn't justify 3/14.00 favouritism in a disappointing run, but that latest appearance may be worth forgiving and he's capable of better.
Appearing on a potentially lenient mark of 70 in this contest, Ice Cold Alex holds solid claims if able to return to form and warrants consideration under Harry Russell.

Ian Williams-trained Dyonisos has caught the eye this year with some noteworthy performances against tough opposition. He finished third to now 103-rated Run Boy Run in a Meydan handicap, before chasing home now 109-rated Jakajaro, fourth in a Group Two since and a recent fifth in the King Charles III Stakes at Royal Ascot, in a Newmarket contest on his British return.
In recent outings, the son of Goken has gone close, just denied by Seven Questions at Goodwood in his penultimate start. He wasn't at his best in the Dash at Epsom, but remains capable of better and is on a workable mark of 84.

Making his second appearance for William Muir and Chris Grassick, The Coffee Pod could return to some form and may come on for his first run of the season when down the field over 6f here. He's now 9lb lower than his last winning mark, when trained by Richard Hannon, therefore is on a lenient rating if returning to the best of his form.
Last term, the son of Acclamation proved he still retains ability with a good effort at Windsor, when third to Nogo's Dream from a mark of 72. He's effective over this distance and could fare much better than in his most recent outing under Lewis Edmunds.

Mr Cool improved on his previous efforts with a third-placed finish at Ripon when last seen, dropping in class. At the same level here, he should be capable of making his presence felt once over a proven distance for the gelding.
The four-year-old gelding is now 12lb below his last winning mark when successful at Ripon last summer, therefore should be capable of returning to the winners' enclosure soon and this could be a feasible opportunity for him to record a third career success.
Following a recent promising appearance, the Charlie Johnston-trained runner may be worth keeping onside and holds a strong chance if building on his previous run.
