Equipped with first-time cheekpieces, Nigel Tinkler-trained Squealer is one to note from a low mark of 76 in this contest. He's 12lb below his last winning mark and is dropping to this level for the first time in over a year, having won at a higher level subsequently, therefore should be capable of holding his own.
The six-year-old son of Mehmas hasn't been seen to best effect so far this term, but has dropped to a lenient mark as a result. Whilst he needs to prove he still retains ability, things haven't quite gone his way lately and, with some better luck, he should fare well.

George Baker-trained filly Power Of Prayer is 3lb higher than her sole career win when successful in a Dundalk handicap during the autumn, but has 3lb claiming Jack Callan aboard and could come on for her recent third at Brighton.
She shaped well on yard debut on that occasion, in her first run for 144 days, and appears on a workable rating having made the frame from the same mark previously.
Making appeal at the weights, the daughter of Protectionist remains unexposed and could be capable of showing further improvement.

In the Listed mile-and-a-half contest at Pontefract, outsider of the field Cabrera could be capable of outrunning her odds in the hands of P J McDonald.
The Ed Bethell-trained mare remains largely unexposed in only her 12th start, and there could be more to come from her. She has made a couple of appearances so far this term, on the back of a 329-day break, and is entitled to take another step forward for her recent Thirsk outing when fifth to Brielle.
This is a significant step up but she shaped with promise earlier in her career and the best could be yet to come. She was able to compete with some talented rivals in maiden and novice company during her debut campaign as a three-year-old, and shouldn't be discounted at a huge price in this event.

Course-and-distance winner Winds Of Winter recorded an 11-length success here twelve months ago when rated 14lb lower, and has since been able to win from a mark of 106 at Cartmel. She's currently 3lb higher than her previous success and should be capable of holding her own in familiar surroundings.
The daughter of Mahler performed with some credit in her latest run, but could be capable of better under 3lb claiming Conor Rabbit, and may be worth keeping the faith in. She's a three-time winner and has course experience in her favour from a workable mark, therefore makes appeal holding solid claims.

Sporting first-time blinkers, The Flying Seagull is one to note under 5lb claiming Mason Paetel from a rating of 72. His sole win to date came in a Chester maiden a couple of years ago, but he has since been competitive in handicaps and was just touched off at Lingfield last season when rated 6lb higher.
When last seen, the four-year-old gelding didn't perform to his best, but he is capable of better and could return to form with the addition of headgear possibly able to spark some improvement. He emerged with credit in a competitive 14-runner Windsor handicap twelve months ago in a first-time visor, and was far from disgraced when equipped with first-time cheekpieces previously too.
There could be more to come from the son of Kodiac, who fetched €65,000 as a Book 1 yearling, and this could be his chance to return to form from a workable rating.
