Six-year-old mare Kimy finished second in this race 12 months ago from a 5lb higher mark of 109. She runs off 104 this time with 7lb claimer Sean Cleary-Farrell in the plate and should be able to improve on her latest effort.
Things haven't gone her way so far this term but she was far from disgraced when an eye-catching third to Cousin Kate at Cork in her penultimate start, and, from a workable mark and low weight, could make her presence felt.
This is a competitive contest but Kimy has run well in the race previously and shouldn't be discounted for Tom Mullins, making plenty of each-way appeal at the prices.

Another contender to consider in Sunday's opener is Blue Mosque. The daughter of Berkshire finished a good second to Kaid d'Authie at Punchestown last spring, before being sent off as a 6/17.00 joint-favourite in a competitive handicap won by Champagne Kid at this venue over Christmas. She didn't run her race on that occasion following a 243-day break, but it could be worth keeping the faith in her from a 1lb lower mark with Dara McGill taking 7lb off in the saddle.
Last season, the six-year-old put in a few decent efforts in defeat, finishing second in three successive runs behind Disco Dancer, Cardcounter, and in Listed company to Tareze, including twice in softer conditions and once with heavy in the description.
There could be more to come from this lightly raced mare who remains unexposed in handicap company, and Blue Mosque is one to note for Noel Meade as she seeks a third career success.

Final Demand will likely be tough to beat in this Grade One for the novice chasers, however, Western Fold may represent value at 17/29.50 for Gordon Elliott. The seven-year-old has valuable experience in open company in his favour and appears to still be on an upward trajectory.
Four from ten over fences to date, Western Fold landed the Galway Plate in good style last summer before beating Affordale Fury by four-and-a-quarter-lengths in the Gowran Park Champion Chase. He was subsequently sent off at odds of 9/43.25 against Envoi Allen in the Grade One Down Royal Champion Chase, eventually finishing in third, a length-and-a-half behind Affordale Fury, who reversed the form.
Finishing third to those two rivals is a respectable effort, particularly for a horse returning to novice company here, and, at the prices, it could be worth taking a chance each-way on him considering the level of opposition he has been facing recently.
Final Demand has the scope for plenty of further improvement and has impressed in two starts over fences to date, but Western Fold has only 1lb to find on current ratings and remains capable of further progression, too.
At the prices, Western Fold is too big to ignore and shouldn't be overlooked, making each-way appeal under Jack Kennedy.

Likeable five-year-old Blake narrowly missed out on Grade Two glory when beaten by Koktail Brut at Fairyhouse in November. He showed a great attitude to fight for the win on that occasion, emerging with great credit from the race despite suffering defeat.
Blake had previously landed his maiden hurdle at Down Royal in good style, having finished second to Carried With Love on hurdling debut at Cork last spring, and was able to take another step forward and prove his credentials in Graded company.
A classy Flat performer for Peter Chapple-Hyam, now residing with Noel Meade, there should be further progression to come from the son of Zoffany, who landed two Sandown handicaps during his final full Flat campaign.
In one of the races he narrowly denied Ebt's Guard, now rated 105, when in receipt of only 5lb, before finishing fourth to now 112-rated subsequent dual Group Three winner Persica in a competitive Epsom handicap at the Derby Festival.
Blake shouldn't be discounted in this field and can make the frame at a price of 16/117.00 under Donagh Meyler.

Grandad's Cap was an interesting horse as a novice hurdler, but failed to make a significant impression in his races. He returned from a 222-day break over fences when last seen, having previously fallen in his sole point-to-point appearance, shaping well from a layoff to finish third to Couldbeaweapon.
The Laura Morgan-trained runner had been sent off at odds of 9/43.25 in his race prior on handicap debut in a first-time hood at Southwell, when unable to make an impression, but there should be further improvement to come from the gelding who carries top weight in this field under Kevin Brogan.
It could be worth keeping the faith in Grandad's Cap, and he's an unexposed contender to note from a mark of 95.

A hotly contested Dublin Chase featuring six talented performers. Majborough heads the market in first-time cheekpieces, with defending champion Solness in the mix as well as three other course-and-distance winners in Champion Chase winners Marine Nationale and Energumene, as well as Found A Fifty.
With the rain likely to play its part in proceedings, Found A Fifty could be the one to benefit. He enjoys softer conditions while a couple of others may prefer a sounder surface, and, although he has just fallen short at Grade One level in open company so far, he could take advantage should others fair to thrive in conditions.
With winning form in soft to heavy conditions, the nine-year-old son of Solskjaer may be able to make the frame at a price of 11/112.00, making each-way appeal.

Six-year-old gelding Rememberthename is yet to land his maiden win but is yet to be fully exposed in handicaps for Sandy Thomson, and could have his part to play from a mark of 101.
The son of Axxos showed some form for Cormac Farrell when trained in Ireland, particularly when second to now 116-rated Leave In Secret in a Ballinrobe maiden. He's yet to match that level in Britain, but did finish a decent third on yard debut at Kelso in October, and could have further improvement to come as he drops in trip.

Ile Atlantique must defy top weight if he is to prevail on handicap debut in this competitive race, but could do just that under Danny Mullins for team Closutton. He makes each-way appeal at odds of 12/113.00, unexposed from a mark of 152.
The softer ground conditions are certain to suit and the drop back in trip could suit as well. He is a previous Grade Two winner over two-miles, when beating Firefox at Naas last year, therefore isn't shy on speed but has stamina over further too.
Well supported when second to Heart Wood at Tramore on New Year's Day, Ile Atlantique is still lightly raced as an eight-year-old making only his eighth start over fences. He has plenty of class and talent, as he has shown previously, and should be good enough to pose a threat for Willie Mullins in this race.

Another classy gelding from Closutton makes appeal on the Leopardstown card. Sea Of Sands is also certain to be suited by testing conditions and should have enough class to take advantage of a potentially lenient mark of 135. Whilst he isn't the most consistent, he is unexposed in handicaps and received a confidence boosted when a good winner at Punchestown in December, when beating Charlus.
His run in the Irish Cesarewitch is worth putting a line through, and he wasn't seen to best effect in his last two runs of the previous campaign either, but he had previously landed his maiden in good style at Listowel before finishing third to Tounsivator at Grade Two level, in a performance that can be upgraded.
The son of Sea The Stars landed Group Three honours on the Flat for Jean-Pierre Carvalho in Germany, and also lined up in the German Derby won by Sisfahan in 2021 as well as a Cologne Group One won by future Arc winner Alpinista.
With conditions to suit, Sea The Sands should put in a good account of himself in this handicap, making each-way appeal at odds of 16/117.00 under Brian Hayes, who retains the ride.

Blue Lemons is also a former Flat performer who represented Richard Hannon when winning at Leicester on debut, before going close in races won by the likes of Bracken's Laugh and Hand Of God, respectively.
The son of Blue Point made a promising start for Willie Mullins with a three-length victory on hurdling debut at Gowran Park, before going on to achieve Grade Two success that season at Fairyhouse.
Things haven't worked out favourably for him since but he has made only one appearance over obstacles this term, when returning from a 192-day break here over the Christmas period, and may be able to bounce back under Danny Mullins.
