While most of the attention will rightly revolve around Trials day at Cheltenham on Saturday, ITV are also covering an interesting Doncaster card and this 3m Grade 2 novices' hurdle has a fascinating look to it.
With seven of the 12-strong field having the Timeform 'p' attached to their ratings, there is clearly plenty of scope for progression from a good bulk of the field and I'm hopeful that the Irish raider Thedeviluno can emerge as the best of them.
Paul Nolan's made a fluent hurdling debut when beating subsequent Grade 1 winner Skylight Hustle at Fairyhouse in November and then lost little in defeat when second in Grade 2 company himself last time.
The selection came out of that with plenty of credit having come from the rear up against one who had the run of things in front and he shapes as if he'll be suited by stepping up in trip here.

Over at Cheltenham, value is pretty hard to find with quite a few of the races having short-priced favourites, but that's where Betfair's new Bet £10 Get £10 offer on multis will come into its own and I'll have a specially selected double for that offer in a separate column.
In terms of singles, I was tempted to get involved in the Cross Country Chase, which revolves around several who dominated a similar contest here in December.
The first four from that race all take each other on again and there are sound reasons for thinking that French challenger Placenet can better his third-place finish from that event.
For starters, he was coming into on the back of a three-month break, which is hardly the ideal prep for such a unique contest, while he also made a hash of the third last, but for which he'd have finished closer to Final Orders and J'Arrive De L'Est.
The selection also has a fair pull at the weights with the winner, while the booking of Sam Twiston-Davies, who is taking over from Johnny Charron, has to be viewed as another positive.
We also have five places available on the Sportsbook, which makes Placenet a tempting each-way proposition and I'll be most surprised if he doesn't give us some sort of return.

Back at Doncaster, there are not too many progressive types on show in the Great Yorkshire Chase but Deep Cave and Grand Geste are a pair of obvious exceptions. The former completed a cross-code hat-trick when taking the Silver Cup at Ascot last time and he's shaping up to be a seriously promising staying chaser.
But if those comments can be levelled at Deep Cave, they possibly apply to Grand Geste even more so, who really took off when winning the Tommy Whittle at Haydock on his most recent start.
Sue Smith & Joel Parkinson's seven-year-old got into a real rhythm in front there and jumped superbly on his way to beating My Silver Lining by nearly seven lengths.
That was just his third start over fences and he'd shaped with plenty of promise when runner-up on his first two outings over the larger obstacles.
I don't think it's too fanciful to suggest we could be talking about Grand Geste in terms of the National in 12 months' time and I'm confident he'll give another bold showing here.
