Zayina left her previous form behind to get off the mark at Brighton last week, hitting the front a furlong out and keeping going well from there land the spoils by a length and a half.

That race was run in testing conditions and the most impressive aspect of her performance was her strength at the finish, shaping like a filly who could have more to offer now stepping up in trip.

The opposition in this novice event features several other likely improvers, but Zayina has easily the best form and is fancied to put her experience to good use to defy a penalty.

Golden Phase has confirmed herself an improved performer since opening her account at Bath in August, running at least as well in defeat when hitting the frame in both her subsequent starts.

She was beaten only two lengths when finishing third at Lingfield last time and that run is worth marking up under the circumstances, doing well to sustain her effort having been forced to race wide throughout.

A couple of those who finished around her have run well in defeat since and Golden Phase remains one to be interested in from an unchanged mark, with the booking of Hollie Doyle also catching the eye.

Corinthia Knight ran another solid race when filling the runner-up spot (beaten just half a length) at Windsor last time, finishing in the first three for the fourth start in a row. He's threatening to come good soon and this is the weakest race he's run in for quite some time.

A multiple winner on the all-weather earlier in his career, including at this course, Corinthia Knight now has a lower mark on this surface to hopefully take advantage of somewhere down the line and today could be his day if building on the promise of his last few efforts.
