Timeform provide their three best bets at Wolverhampton on Monday...
Rodrigo Diaz - 18:30 Wolverhampton
Rodrigo Diaz, like so many do from this yard, has showed much improved form since switching to handicaps, winning his last two starts. He again won with more in hand than the official margin suggests at Kempton last time, doing well to come from an unpromising position at a shorter trip than his previous win. Rodrigo Diaz clearly has plenty more up his sleeve and he can defy another 7 lb hike in the weights.
Kesarina - 19:00 Wolverhampton
Kesarina is a typically well-bred filly for these connections and appears to have been found a good opening here. She is bred to be much better than a handicap mark of 72, and shaped well on just her second start in a handicap at Bath last time. She wasn't suited by the emphasis on speed on that occasion, responding well to pressure but not having the speed of the winner. There should be even more to come from her and looks the likely winner here.
Carey Street - 20:00 Wolverhampton
This looks a tricky, competitive handicap but Carey Street makes a fair bit of each-way appeal. He remains with just one win to his name, which came in a minor event at Beverley back in 2018, but he has dropped a fair bit in the weights since entering handicaps (16 lb) and shaped well over slightly shorter at this track last time. That was a rare start on the all-weather for him, so he is unexposed on this surface, and he could be ready to strike stepping back up in trip.
