Timeform pick out three bets from Hawkesbury on Thursday...
#3 Exotic Ruby - Hawkesbury R5 (06:10)
A winner at this course last year, Exotic Ruby then hit the frame in good races at Randwick-Kensington and Warwick Farm. She resumes from a long absence, but has trialled reasonably well of late and should be ready to roll for new trainer Bjorn Baker. Chianti was an impressive winner on debut but found the step up to Group 2 level coming too soon last time. She is an exciting filly though and looks the pick of the remainder.
#4 Tectonicus - Hawkesbury R6 (06:45)
Tectonicus finished strongly to win by a length and a half at Canterbury last time, and with scope for further progression, he rates a strong winning hope, particularly with the step up in trip likely to suit. Rules Don't Apply could prove next best, while Hubble is another with solid place claims.
#2 Order Again - Hawkesbury R7 (07:20)
Order Again was one of the sole horses to make up ground on the tearaway-winner Man Of Peace at Randwick last time, and this step up to a mile should show him to even better advantage. He goes well on the wet so the conditions shouldn't be a problem, and James McDonald will be able to save plenty of ground from his inside draw. In short, he is a worthy favourite. Girl Tuesday gets the vote for second, while honest mare Savacool should also give her running.
