Sultanah produced a career-best effort over this course and distance last time to bring up a hat-trick of victories, adding to her wins at Vaal and at this venue, and she will prove mighty difficult to dislodge if she continues progressing at the rate she currently is. Castellano and Destinys Game look the pick of the remainder.

#9 Captain Hindsight - Turffontein R7 (14:05)

Captain Hindsight has won four of his nine races this year, his latest victory coming at the Vaal in October, and though he has been out of the winners' enclosure since then, he has arguably been running just as well, if not better, in defeat of late. He looks to have a real chance on these terms and gets the vote to bounce back to winning ways. Mombela looks the best option for second, while Bold Ransom makes up the shortlist.

#1 Laetitia's Angel - Turffontein R8 (14:40)

Laetitia's Angel has been knocking on the door of late, finishing runner-up in two of her last three runs, third in the other, and this could prove a good opportunity for her to regain the winning thread. She is a consistent sort, hitting the frame in all but two of her nine career starts, and she is expected to be bang there. Kay Tee Perry makes the most appeal of the rest, while Royal Lily gets the nod for third.
