"She has plenty of pace and should be able to clear the field when the stalls open"
Nick Shiambouros is back with two selections from the Tuesday card at Parx...
Miss Moon Pie to graduate
Race 3 18:49 Parx - Miss Moon Pie
Miss Moon Pie should run well at a decent price in this Maiden Special Weight on the main track.
This filly finished a distant sixth on debut in a similar race at Monmouth Park last month. She got worked up at the gate and expended a lot of energy in the process. When the stalls opened, she flashed speed before weakening at the entrance to the straight. This looked like a competitive maiden and is better than the bare form suggests. I think she is open to a fair bit of improvement and am expecting a much better effort. At present she is trading at 6.05/1 on the exchange which is more than fair.
Clever Sarah to outsmart rivals
Race 9 21:31 Parx - Clever Sarah
Clever Sarah should bounce back in this allowance race on the turf.
This filly disappointed when finished fourth in a similar race on the main track that was scheduled to be run on the turf. She attempted to make all, but weakened quickly when the chips were down. She had previously won a couple of races on the turf in great style, which reads well in the context of this race. She has plenty of pace and should be able to clear the field when the stalls open. Anything around her Morning Line price of 3.55/2 will do.
