Fundamental - 13:55 Salisbury
Fundamental made plenty of appeal on paper ahead of his debut at Yarmouth last month - a Dark Angel colt out of Group-1 winner Integral - and he ran to a fairly useful level in finishing third, travelling fluently and making headway over two furlongs out but just lacking for know-how when asked to chase down the pair who beat him. John Gosden's newcomers have tended to improve plenty for their debuts this season, in fact, no trainer has saddled more second-time-out winners than Gosden this term, and Fundamental is expected to continue that trend.
Mini Milk - 15:40 Salisbury
Mini Milk showed only modest form in her five outings for Jonathan Portman last season, but she made an encouraging start to life with Brian Meehan when running out an impressive winner at Kempton last week, showing much improved form to shed her maiden tag, readily drawing clear in the final furlong. The drop back in trip seemed to suit her last time, so there is every reason to think that this even shorter trip could show her to better advantage still, and she holds leading claims turned out under a 5 lb penalty.
Trusty Rusty - 16:15 Salisbury
Trusty Rusty took a big step forward on just her second handicap start when beaten a nose at Lingfield last time, typically keen but showing a willing attitude to force the progressive winner to improve further, pulling nicely clear of the remainder. There could be more to come from Ronald Harris's charge and a 5 lb rise may not be enough to stop her going one better.
