Arabic Legend is bred to be smart - he is out of a Grade 1 winner who is a sister to smart Lumiere - and he made a perfect start to his career in a strong race at Newmarket.

He showed clear signs of greenness when under pressure on that occasion, hanging to his right but still finding plenty to take up the lead in the final 100 yards.

Arabic Legend was well on top at the line, looking well above average, and he looks a smart prospect moving forward, so is fancied to take this step up in class in his stride.

Ameynah is a very lightly-raced four-year-old who opened her account in style on her reappearance last year and it shows the regard in which she is held that she was asked to contest the 1000 Guineas at Newmarket just three weeks later.

She ran really well, too, without quite knowing what was fully required at that level, and she has seemingly had her problems since.

Ameynah showed plenty to work on returning from 15 months off in a Group 3 at Ascot last month, taking a strong hold early and still having every chance entering the final furlong before her absence seemingly told. She is in excellent hands and is entitled to take a step forward for that run, so remains a horse to be interested in now stepping down into listed company.
