Mass Consumption is a lightly-raced maiden who has finished placed in two of his three starts and produced a big career-best effort in a mile and a half minor event at Catterick eight days ago.

He appreciated the step up in trip on that occasion, despite his speedy pedigree, pushed along before entering the straight and staying on gradually.

Mass Consumption has wisely been turned out in a handicap quickly - he is due to be 8 lb higher in the weights in future races - and he looks very interesting now stepping up to two miles.

Ripon Next Best - 15:25 - Back Reflexion Faite

Reflexion Faite has been steadily progressive in four starts so far, her best effort coming when runner-up to an above-average filly in a Sandown maiden last month.

She was easy to back but ran to a similar level in a minor event at Thirsk last time ans she remains a horse to be interested in now moving into handicaps. An opening mark of 69 is potentially lenient based on her Sandown run and there should be even more to come.
