Nick Shiambouros started the week with a winner when Allende made all at Delaware Park. Nick is back with two selections from the Tuesday card at Parx...
Take Brazen on the class drop
Race 2 18:22 Parx - Brazen
Brazen should go close in this $7.5k non-winner of two on the main track.
This Ghostzapper gelding finished down the field in $16k non-winner of two at Saratoga last month. He flashed speed, before weakening out of contention at the entrance to the straight. He was claimed by trainer Robert Falcone who drops him aggressively for his local debut. Brazen has faced much better in the past and has shown plenty of pace in his races. He should be able to clear the field from his low draw and should be tough to catch. I recommend backing him at his Morning Line price of 2.89/5.
Take Charge Tina to boss rivals
Race 7 20:37 Parx - Take Charge Tina
Take Charge Tina should make her presence felt in this $12.5k claimer on the turf course.
This mare finished third in a competitive allowance race at Presque Isle Downs last month. She made up a lot of ground in the closing stages, and was gaining on the winner close home. This was her first effort on the Tapeta surface, and did not look totally at home. She has some decent form in higher company and will appreciate the return to turf. Trainer Rudy Rodriguez is a shrewd operator, and has found a good spot her. Anything around 3.02/1 will do.
