I am going to take a chance with debutant Zeyaraat in this interesting Maiden Special Weight on the main track.

This Shadwell homebred by Honor Code is out of the Indian Charlie mare Buneya. She comes from a decent family and is related to plenty of winners. Trainer Michael Pino trained her half-sister Aseelah who finished second on debut over this course. Pino has a 20% strike rate with debutants which is respectable. Her work tab is solid, and threw in a bullet followed by a nice maintenance work over this course earlier this month. I recommend backing her at BSP.

Madam Meena should go close in this allowance race on the main track.

This filly was most impressive when beating a group of State bred allowance horses over this course last month. She swept to the front in the straight and pulled clear to win impressively. She takes on open company today, but is progressive and should be up to the task. Trainer Jamie Ness is having a super meeting with a 33% strike rate. She is a four-time course winner and looks like the horse to beat. Anything around 3.55/2 will do.
