Nick Shiambouros was on the mark yesterday when his heavily backed best bet Charity Stripe won. Nick is back with two selections from Parx...

Eagles Cry to swoop late
Race 5 19:43 Parx - Eagles Cry
Eagles Cry should make his presence felt in this maiden claimer on the main track
This first-time gelding finished a distant second in a Maiden Special Weight at Penn National at the beginning of July. He held every chance in the straight, but was left behind when the pace lifted. I think he will be suited by the extra yardage, and is entitled to move forward. He has been working really well ,and put in consecutive bullet works ahead of this assignment. He will appreciate the ease in grade and should be backed at his Morning Line price of 3.02/1.
Aced to win again
Race 6 20:10 Parx - Aced
Aced looks like the horse to beat in this interesting allowance contest on the main track.
This gelding put in a super effort when beating Irish Riviera in a restricted $25k claimer over this course at the end of July. He swept to the front in the straight, and powered home to win with plenty in hand. The step up to seven furlongs clearly suited him and should follow up against these. Trainer Juan Guerrero has a respectable 20% strike rate with repeat winners, which is another positive. Anything around his Morning Line price of 2.915/8 will do.
