#7 P J's Ego - Delaware Park R4 (19:45)
P J's Ego made a hugely encouraging start to life when third at Monmouth on debut last month, setting good early fractions as he tried to make all, just weakening late on. That form has been boosted by the winner going in again since, and Douglas Nunn's charge looks very much the one to beat on these terms. Allende also holds claims if fully fit following a break, while Dance For Gold makes up the shortlist.
#12 Stiva - Delaware Park R5 (20:15)
Stiva returned to winning ways back on the dirt at Laurel Park last month, getting to the front early and staying on to hold off her rivals with a driving finish. She was not seen to best effect when third last time, unable to dictate things out in front, but she is the only real front runner in this field, and she will be difficult to catch if allowed an easy time of things out in front. Dancingwithpaynter is dropped in grade and merits a good deal of consideration, as does I Love You, who finished runner-up last time.
#8 Bella Pierina - Delaware Park R7 (21:15)
Course winner Bella Pierina hasn't been seen for almost a year, but she was in top form prior to her absence, winning comfortably at Monmouth before finishing runner-up at Meadowlands last october. Her fitness must be taken on merit, but this race could really show her to best effect, with confirmed front-runners Platinum Paynter, Justin Time and Take Charge Tina ensuring she will have a good pace to aim at, bringing her stamina right into play. She is the one to beat provided she is ready to roll. Take Charge Tine and Platinum Paynter look the two most likely to capitalise should the selection fail to fire.
