Ashariba was held back by inexperience on her debut at Goodwood last summer, beating only one rival home, but she showed the benefit of that initial experience when opening her account at Yarmouth three weeks later.

That form worked out well and she left the impression she would come on a fair bit for the run on her return from eight months off on her handicap debut back at Goodwood 25 days ago. She still displayed signs of inexperience and may not have been suited by heavy ground, either, so she is well worth another chance to prove herself on a good mark back on a sounder surface with that run under her belt.

Rinnovati didn't show much in three starts for Eve Johnson Houghton last year, beating on two rivals home in those outings, but she was much improved after a break on handicap and stable debut at Kempton earlier this month.

She was stronger in the betting and shaped very well to boot, produced to lead entering the final furlong and caught only close home by another improver who finished with a wet sail down the outside. Rinnovati proved herself on a workable mark and there may be more to come from her now making her turf debut from just 2 lb higher.
