NAP: Rock Melody on a good mark
Rock Melody - 18:45 Kempton
Rocky Melody has shaped better than the distance beaten on her last two starts, leaving the impression she may have won with a clear run at Chester in July, and shaping as though she would have benefited from a stronger gallop at Lingfield last time.
That was just her second start on an artificial surface but she is building a good record and this race looks likely to be run at a solid tempo. Rock Melody races from 1 lb lower now and has leading apprentice Benoit de la Sayette back in the saddle, so she is worth siding with again.
NEXT BEST: Albion Princess can follow up
Albion Princess - 19:45 Kempton
Albion Princess was well backed on her return and handicap debut at Newmarket in June but her effort flattened out late on as if the run was needed.
She improved on that effort when dead-heating at Chepstow last time, impressing with how she travelled through the race and arguably unlucky not to have taken the prize outright given how she idled late on. There should be even more to come from Albion Princess now, especially now moving up further in trip, and she looks a big player.
EACH WAY: Bug Boy remains in form
Bug Boy - 19:15 Kempton
Bug Boy took advantage of a falling mark when resuming winning ways over course and distance in June and he followed up at Chepstow on his next start.
He has shaped better than the bare result since, too, a slow start and not settling fully before meeting trouble in-running not helping his chance last time. Bug Boy races from 2 lb out of the handicap here but still appears to be at the top of his game and he looks a little overpriced.
