Kempton - 19:40 - Back Makeen
Makeen was a two-time winner on turf last season and he built considerably on his seasonal reappearance when finishing a good third at Newmarket last month.
He went like the best horse at the weights on that occasion and arguably should have won, given a patient ride and still going well when meeting interference around a furlong out. Makeen had to switch round runners to get a run and kept on well afterwards, finishing with running left at the line.
Makeen has never won on the all-weather, but his mark is 5 lb lower on an artificial surface, and is expected to be competitive given the promise of his latest run.

Kempton - 19:10 - Back Greenham Bay
Greenham Bay was well backed and showed much improved form when opening his account over course and distance in April, beating a progressive filly who has won twice since, including at listed level.
He improved further when following up on handicap debut at Salisbury, digging deep under pressure to beat another well-treated sort who went on to win next-time-out too.
Greenham Bay shaped as though still in good form at Leicester last time, seemingly finding the test of speed too much on fast ground. However, his form is hard to knock, and he is expected to get back on the up returned to the all-weather.
