NAP: Imperium can bounce back
Imperium - 19:30 Kempton
Imperium has an excellent record on the all-weather and at this track - he is a four-time course and distance winner - so is well worth forgiving a dismal run when last seen in April.
That came on turf, but all six of his career wins have come on an artificial surface, and he has undergone a breathing operation since last seen. He remains just 2 lb above his last winning mark and James Doyle is two from two on him, so a bold bid is expected on his return to action for a yard going along nicely.
NEXT BEST: Follow Your Heart weighted to strike
Follow Your Heart - 20:00 Kempton
Follow Your Heart's last win came over this course and distance in December last year and he left the impression he is ready to strike again when narrowly denied at Wolverhampton last week.
He stepped up on his return from a short break and arguably would have won with a clearer passage, short of room on the home turn but really motoring home once regathering his stride. He remains on the same mark, which is 3 lb lower than his last winning one, and he is a horse to be interested in at this sort of level.
EACH WAY: Holbache remains of interest
Holbache - 20:30 Kempton
Holbache took advantage of a falling mark when resuming winning ways over this course and distance last month, dominating his field on what was his first start on polytrack.
He was quite easy to back at Wolverhampton last time and failed to confirm that form under a more patient ride, but he wasn't seen to best effect either, not given a hard time and finishing with running left. He is drawn well here and may be worth another chance back at this venue from a mark he should remain competitive from.
