There is evening racing at Kempton on Wednesday

"...an opening mark of 70 could well underestimate him, and he should be backed accordingly..."

Timeform's Andrew Asquith highlights a Nap, Next Best and Each Way selection at Kempton on Wednesday.

NAP

Bill Plumb - 19:00 Kempton

Bill Plumb shaped with promise in three starts last summer, and he improved further on his return from six months off when opening his account in a maiden at Wolverhampton last month.

That was a good performance, conceding plenty of weight to younger rivals, but proving much too good, always travelling well and having plenty in hand at the line. Admittedly, it wasn't the strongest race of its type, but an opening mark of 70 could well underestimate him, and he should be backed accordingly.

NEXT BEST

Reeceltic - 20:30 Kempton

Reeceltic is a solid operator on the whole at around two miles on the all-weather, resuming winning ways at Lingfield in November and holding his form well since.

He shaped well in a much stronger race than this back at that track last time, finishing as close as could be expected under the circumstances, staying on gradually in the straight having been held in his run on the home turn. He should find this test a little easier and is worth another chance.
