Sandown stages a good card on Sunday

"He seemed to stay the 1m6f well enough in the race mentioned, and he was unlucky too as he met some trouble at a crucial part of the contest."

Back Kalooor @ BSP in the 17:20 at Sandown

It's the final time in the tipping chair for Alan Dudman this week, and his two bets on Sunday both run at Sandown....

Burrows to enjoy more success with consistent Muraad

14:30 Sandown - Back Muraad @ BSP

It was good to get one over the line with the Owen Burrows Minzaal on Friday in the Gimcrack, and I am banking on the yard to fire in another winner with Muraad.

This 4yo has enjoyed a consistent career so far and got up to win with a change of tactics coming from off the pace to win a handicap at the Goodwood festival last time. That looks strong form.

He landed that from 95 and relished the extra furlong on that occasion, but the 1m2f looks sure to suit even better and I am not too worried about his new mark of 100.

He ran well at Sandown earlier in the season in a 0-100 back in June, but the new distance could unlock a bit more improvement in this runner.

Kaloor looks dangerous coming back down in distance for Menuisier

17:20 Sandown - Back Kaloor @ BSP

Platitude and Kaloor both ran in a course and distance handicap last month finishing second and third respectively, and whilst the former looks well handicapped, he doesn't win very often and is much shorter in the betting than Kaloor - who is the selection.

He seemed to stay the 1m6f well enough in the race mentioned, and he was unlucky too as he met some trouble at a crucial part of the contest.

Last time out he disappointed over 2m at Ascot but he might not have stayed.

Kaloor was mentioned as a possible Stakes horse in his younger days with Brian Meehan. But he lost his way with that trainer and has shaped quite well for his new yard and David Menuisier in a handful of starts this season. His mark is coming down too, and he could be equally well treated from 87 in relation to Platitude.

The draw in 11 isn't ideal, so I suspect William Buick will have to sit and wait.
