Timeform bring you the three best bets at the Curragh on Friday...
"...a smart two-year-old last season who won three of her five starts..."
Timeform on Albigna
Colour Sergeant - 14:05 Curragh
Colour Sergeant has hit the frame in each of his three starts to date, including when third (beaten only two lengths) behind the subsequent Group 2 winner Mac Swiney on his penultimate start at the Curragh. That form sets the standard here on Timeform's weight-adjusted ratings, and, with further progress not ruled out, this looks an excellent opportunity for him to gain a deserved first success.
Nicest - 14:40 Curragh
Nicest is bred in the purple and duly looked a good prospect when making a winning debut at Leopardstown last month, overcoming the run of the race to peg back a pair who had the benefit of previous experience. She remains open to more improvement and is fancied to take this step up in grade in her stride, representing the Donnacha O'Brien yard that continues in good heart (75% of horses running to form).
Albigna - 15:10 Curragh
Albigna was a smart two-year-old last season who won three of her five starts, including the Prix Marcel Boussac at Longchamp. Admittedly, she was well below that form after eight months off when only sixth in the Irish 1000 Guineas at this venue last time, but it's far too soon to be writing her off, especially as she now encounters more suitable conditions. Indeed, the balance of her form suggests she is most effective with ease in the ground, while she also drops significantly in grade as she attempts to provide trainer Jessica Harrington with a fourth win in this Group 3 since 2011.
