Mishal Star - 14:20 Nottingham
Tom Ward's debutants have largely been in need of the experience on their first outing this season, so it was encouraging that Mishal Star ran as well as she did to finish fourth on debut, a piece of form that has since proved strong, and she didn't need to improve on that effort to get off the mark at Kempton last time, produced to lead two furlongs out before forging clear to win by four lengths. She seems sure to do better still and her opening mark looks a fair one.
Bimble - 14:55 Nottingham
Bimble confirmed the promise of her debut in some style six month on, running out an impressive winner of a Goodwood maiden back in June, and she duly went on to shape encouragingly on her handicap debut at Salisbury earlier this month, catching the eye with the way she went through the race, just not quite as clued up as the winner when it came down to the wire. She remains open to further improvement and is well up to winning a race of this nature.
Arabian Warrior - 16:40 Nottingham
Arabian Warrior got back on track over a mile and a half at Wolverhampton in July, running a good race in coming clear with the favourite and awarded the contest due to that one bumping him in the finish. He then ran at least as well when runner-up at Kempton last time, just taking a bit too long to hit top gear. This step up to two miles should benefit him on that evidence, and he holds leading claims if proving as effective back on turf.
