White Turf heads the market for this handicap chase after a comfortable victory at Bangor last time but I think he benefitted from a pace meltdown that day. There is a chance of another strong pace today but it's one of those who is likely to race handily who I think could benefit most from that.

They reverted to riding Getaman handily last time at Perth and the combination of those tactics over two miles looked ideal for him. He was taken on for the lead by Six One Nine and that rival was sent to the front turning down the back straight but Getaman was soon back in front and he was still travelling strongly turning into the home straight.

First Angel tried to challenge in the straight and got to within about a length before Getaman went clear on the run in to win by five lengths.

I think the runner up is well handicapped so it was a taking performance at this low level for Getaman to beat him with plenty in hand and a 5lb rise could underplay the level he ran to that day.

He showed that day that he's comfortable making the running or taking a lead so that gives Tom Bellamy options depending on what the collection of other possible front runners in this race choose to do.

There is a very slight concern over his jumping as that hasn't always been great and there is a chance that Trumps Benefit could be the one to sit in behind the leaders and pick them off late having been sent on too soon last time but I think Getaman has more upside than that rival and any 11/4 or bigger appeals.
