13:00 - HEIGHTS OF ABRAHAM (2) will have derived plenty from the kind ride he received starting out at Ayr a month ago and is selected to improve by Bulls Aye and Branston Lion. This isn't the deepest contest, so market support for debutant Master Zoffany would look significant.
13:30 - DANDY'S ANGEL (3) showed improved when getting off the mark at Catterick nine days ago, staying on to lead in the final 50 yards, ultimately landing the spoils by a length. He has a 6 lb penalty to contend with here but should again be thereabouts if confirming the promise of that latest effort. Reely Bonnie and Grace And Virtue are others who might have a say in proceedings.
14:00 - LADY CALCARIA (4) dug in for pressure when second in first-time cheekpieces at Haydock last time, and, with this longer trip unlikely to pose any issues, she's fancied to go one better under a positive ride from a good draw. Bibbidibobbidiboo was also runner-up recently, so she's respected along with Gigi's Beach, who makes his first start for MIchael Dods.
14:30 - DIGITAL (1) was runner-up for a third time at Thirsk last month, but he was unlucky to bump into a good prospect, and, with the time also suggesting it was an above-average race of its type, he's worth another chance to get off the mark. Significantly sets the standard back in novice company, with stablemate Jacattack worth a market check.
15:00 - AMAZING ALBA (1) returned to form when second over this course and distance last month, looking the likeliest winner for most of the way before being edged out close home. She is 3 lb higher here but remains potentially well treated judged on the pick of her form, so another big run would come as no surprise. Indian Pursuit and Newgate Angel also warrant consideration.
15:30 - MILITIA (1) has been better than ever this season and arrives on the back of a career-best effort at Chester, where he did well to win having been drawn wide and covered extra ground as a result. He had previously scored over this course and distance, impressing with how strongly he travelled, and he should continue to give a good account.
16:05 - PEERLESS PERCY (10) didn't show much in three outings over an inadequate seven furlongs last season, but he produced a much more promising performance, despite still looking rough around the edges, when third on his handicap debut over nine furlongs at Hamilton last time. Peerless Percy boasts a good middle-distance pedigree so should be well suited by this further step up in trip, and he can prove that a mark of 55 underplays his ability.
16:35 - NAKEETA (1) is a risky proposition, but he hinted at a revival at Ripon earlier in the month and takes a further drop in grade here, so could be worth chancing. Stormin Norman has relished the step up to staying trips and should remain competitive following a 2 lb rise for his win over C&D in July. Arthurs Secret returns to this code on a competitive mark so shouldn't be overlooked, either.
17:05 - THE MACKEM TORPEDO (5) hasn't shown much to this point, but he's from a prolific family so improvement could be forthcoming now pitched into a low-grade affair. Kodiac Lass and Chinese Spirit are others with claims.
