"An opening mark of 81 could well underestimate him..."

Timeform on Miami Joy

15:20 - MIRROR KISSES (1) has made a bright start and is fancied to follow up her cosy Pontefract win with this extra furlong sure to show her in an even better light. Tanfantic has the form to run her close but needs to shrug aside a modest showing last time. Newcomer Shaykhoon appeals as the pick of the remainder and is worth a market check.

15:55 - PREMIER POWER (1) confirmed his debut promise and was very impressive when hacking up at Kempton last autumn, so this well-bred colt is fully expected to make light of a penalty en route to better things. Sky Storm, who was a promising third on his sole two-year-old start, and Mick Quinn's Recall The Show looks the only realistic threats unless one of the newcomers is well above average.

16:25 - MIAMI JOY's (1) showed improved form to make it two from two on the all-weather (disappointed on turf in between) over seven furlongs here last time, and that form is working out, with the third and sixth both winning their next starts. An opening mark of 81 could well underestimate him and he holds strong claims under Ryan Moore. Arsonist won at Leicester in the style of one who'll rate higher and he is considered the main threat.

16:55 - PENTIMENTO (1) shaped as if back in form over a mile and a quarter at Sandown last month, and should benefit from the return to this shorter trip and looks attractively handicapped. He makes plenty of appeal. Accomplice and Deadly Accurate should also go well.

17:25 - This looks an open event, and preference is for CRYSTAL CAROLE (9), who is still low-mileage and found improvement when scoring at Windsor earlier this month. There could be even more to come from him and a subsequent 3 lb rise isn't excessive. Dancing Jo and Azets rate the principal dangers.

18:00 - VIOLA (4) looked unlucky not to win when runner-up over course and distance 22 days ago and is fancied to gain compensation if a little more goes her way. She has been raised 4 lb for that effort, but represents a yard in form and should have more progress in her after just four starts. Escalade arrives in good order and ranks as the main danger ahead of Dusk who might find improvement for the switch to handicaps.

18:30 - BY JOVE (5) was well on the up before an excusable effort at Salisbury 18 days ago, so he's well worth a chance to get back on the up and resume winning ways over a trip that should suit. Walk It Talk It is a definite threat if she can get back to the form she showed when runner-up over course and distance in July and Speech Room can't be discounted.

19:00 - MERCERS (5) already has three course and distance wins to her name and a reproduction of the form she showed when second back here last time may be good enough to see her add to her tally. Little Floozie was runner-up on her handicap debut and an unexposed profile provides her with the scope to build on that. Sunday's Wolverhampton fourth George Thomas also makes the shortlist.

19:30 - DEFTERA LAD (4) has been revitalised for the move to Sylvester Kirk's yard so is fancied to go in again now he drops back in trip having moved smoothly for a long way over a mile at Windsor last time. Dreamboat Annie is another who arrives in great nick so is sure to provide a stern test, while Diamond Cottage and Global Acclamation are two others worth a second look in an open handicap.
