#3 Goodbye Love - Fairview R6 (14:05)
Goodbye Love, who had previously contested a listed event on just her third career start, took advantage of the step back in grade to open her account at this venue last time, not really needing to improve on the pick of her form to run out a length and a half winner. She sets the standard in this race and should take plenty of beating on her handicap debut. Valeriana is much more experienced in this sphere and will be out to build on her recent course and distance win, so she gets the vote for second, while Nanna Anna looks the pick for third.
#7 Onesie - Fairview R7 (14:40)
After twice coming up short at listed level, Onesie put up a much better performance returned to calmer waters at this venue last time, belying big odds to finish fourth. This drop back in trip could potentially eke out a bit more from this experienced mare who, for all that she hasn't won for fifteen runs, could have been underestimated by the market. Maningi Indaba is closely matched with the selection on form and should make her presence felt, though will likely not provide the value that the selection does. Princess Kalisi makes up the shortlist.
#12 Byridge - Fairview R8 (15:15)
After making an impressive winning debut in what has since proved a strong maiden here in March, Byridge has been set a couple of stiff tasks, and though he has run with plenty of credit on both occasions, he found the step up to listed company too much at this early stage of his career. This move into handicap company looks a good one, and there is every chance he has been afforded a lenient opening mark. All The Sevens is a much more seasoned performer in this type of race and appeals as the main danger, while Bold Dreamer also demands closer scrutiny.
