"She made a three-wide move on the turn and powered home to win with complete authority"
Nick Shiambouros returns to the Delaware Park oval with two more selections...
Wild n' Stormy tough on debut
Race 2 18:45 Delaware Park - Wild n' Stormy
I am going to take a chance with debutant Wild n' Stormy in this $16k maiden claimer on the main track.
This Talent Search filly comes from a speedy family and has been working well ahead of this assignment. The Sire Talent Search was a fast horse. He cracked heads with the likes of Benny The Bull and finished third in the Breeders' Cup Sprint behind Midnight Lute. He throws precocious two-year-olds and hopefully Wild n' Stormy will be another one. Trainer Anthony Pecoraro has a 22% strike rate with youngsters and 27% with maiden claimers. She should be backed around 4.03/1 on the exchange.
So Darn Hot to chill rivals
Race 6 20:45 Delaware Park - So Darn Hot
So Darn Hot should go close in this interesting allowance race on the main track.
This well related filly was most impressive when beating Thankful in a Maiden Special Weight at Belmont in June. She made a three-wide move on the turn and powered home to win with complete authority. At the time I expected her to run next at the Saratoga meeting, but trainer George Weaver has decided to take in this race instead. I think she is open to a good deal of improvement and recommend backing her at BSP.
