Nick Shiambouros continued his fine form when his selection Chocolate Bar won at 4.5 BSP. Nick returns with two fancies from Delaware Park...
"His work tab is solid, and the talented Alex Cintron has the riding assignment"
Tiz Samurai to strike again
Race 1 18:15 Delaware Park - Tiz Samurai
Tiz Samurai is taken to continue his winning ways, despite the class hike in this $8k claimer on the main track.
This gelding demolished a field of restricted $5k claimers over this course last month. He made all the running, and found plenty in the straight to win unchallenged. He disappointed this winter at Tampa Bay Downs, but has found a new lease of life at the Delaware oval. He won at a higher level at Arlington Park last year, and a reproduction of that form would be good enough to take this. I think he will go close, and have backed him at his current price of 3.613/5 on the exchange.
Second Line David to deliver
Race 8 21:45 Delaware Park - Second Line David
Second Line David should make his presence felt in this $25k maiden claimer on the main track.
This gelding makes his local debut for trainer Dale Bennett after finishing third in a $20k maiden claimer at Keenland. He held every chance in the straight, but came up a little short when it mattered. His overall form in maiden claimers is solid, notably when narrowly beaten in a $50k race at the Fairgrounds in February. His work tab is solid, and the talented Alex Cintron has the riding assignment. At present he is trading at 6.611/2 which is generous in my opinion.
