Nick Shiambouros hopes to start the new week with a couple of winners from Delaware Park...
No risk for Credit Cycle
Race 4 19:45 Delaware Park - Credit Cycle
Credit Cycle should run well at a decent price in this $12.5k claimer on the main track.
This gelding put in a much-improved effort when finishing second against similar over this course earlier this month. He made a five-wide move in the straight and finished strongly behind the game winner. This was his best effort since shipping in from Tampa in June. He only has one published work in September, but I am not unduly worried as he retains his form well. I think he is ready to take another step in the right direction and should be backed at BSP.
Carpe to seize the day
Race 6 20:45 Delaware Park - Bi Bi Carpe
Bi Bi Carpe should go close in this $15k maiden claimer on the main track.
This Carpe Diem colt finished second in a $20k maiden claimer at Monmouth Park last month. He ran on well in the closing stages, but failed to deliver a challenge behind the easy winner. This was a solid effort against better and trainer Jane Cibelli wisely drops him in class to get the win. Cibelli is a shrewd operator, and always runs her horses at the right level. Anything around his Morning Line price of 4.57/2 will do.
