Timeform on Mirann
Breakfast Club - 14:30 Curragh
A competitive race but the case for Breakfast Club is a compelling one on the back of a sparkling debut win for Denis Hogan at Cork 11 days ago, with the manner of that success suggesting a subsequent 11 lb rise may not be enough. He showed much improved form, travelling notably well and showing a good turn of foot on just his second handicap start.
Mirann - 16:15 Curragh
Preference is for Mirann who has shown himself to be a very useful performer for Johnny Murtagh and was set too much to do when seventh off a high handicap mark at Leopardstown last time. He shaped better than the bare result on that occasion, set with plenty to do turning for home and he was never nearer than at the finish. Indeed, he has to should a big weight here, but he is a class act and is fancied to resume winning ways.
Kastasa - 16:50 Curragh
Kastasa saw her winning run come to an end in a similar event at Naas five weeks ago but it was still a creditable effort and looks the type who is likely to benefit from the application of a visor. She put up an uncharacteristically laboured effort that day, but also leaving the impression she would have been suited by a stronger gallop. The return to two miles will also be in her favour.
