The Ogle Gogle Man - 15:22 Sedgefield
This is not a strong staying handicap hurdle and The Ogle Gogle Man stands out having won his last two starts. Three of his four outings since joining Iain Jardine have been over hurdles, and he's not done a lot wrong in those races. He raced with much more enthusiasm than is often the case when scoring over this course and distance earlier in the month, cashing in on a falling mark. He then defied a penalty at Ayr only six days later, running right up to his best, and has strong claims of completing the hat-trick.
Ben Brody - 15:55 Sedgefield
Ben Brody resumed his progress with an easy victory at Ludlow last month, making it two wins from four starts since switching to chasing. He was allowed his own way out in front and steadily drew clear from the back straight, ultimately winning by 10 lengths with plenty in hand. The handicapper has reacted by giving him an 11 lb hike in the weights, but he's been found a weak race for his follow-up bid, with most of his rivals arriving here out of form. Both his wins over fences have come on heavy going but the softer surface here shouldn't hold any fears for him.
Snowy Burrows - 17:25 Sedgefield
Champion jockey Brian Hughes has ridden more winners at Sedgefield than anywhere else and operates at a 22% strike rate at the course, which compares favourably to his record of 17% elsewhere. His booking is a positive for the chances of the Rebecca Menzies-trained Snowy Burrows, who arrives fit after three spins in jumpers' bumpers and goes handicapping from a lowly mark.
