Daily Racing Tips: Timeform's three best bets at Newcastle on Tuesday

Long shot hurdles

Timeform bring you the three best bets at Newcastle on Tuesday.

"...he is worth another chance for a yard among the winners..."

Timeform on Fantastic Rock

Fantastic Rock - 13:00 Newcastle

Fantastic Rock remains a maiden over hurdles, but he had some solid form in France, and was very well supported ahead of his debut for Sandy Thomson at Ayr in November. Admittedly, he proved very disappointing that day, given a positive ride from the front but weakening alarmingly approaching the third-last. Clearly better was expected, though, and he is worth another chance for a yard among the winners.

Peltwell - 13:30 Newcastle

Peltwell opened her account over hurdles from out of the blue at Wincanton earlier this month, a more prominent ride in first-time cheekpieces working the oracle, and she improved further when defying a 7 lb rise in the weights at Wetherby last week. She won very easily that day, sent on into the lead after jumping three from home and soon quickening clear. Peltwell avoids a penalty for that success and is well ahead of the handicapper able to race from the same mark.

Kitty Hall - 15:45 Newcastle

Kitty Hall was a smooth winner of a bumper at Carlisle in 2019 and has progressed with each start over hurdles so far this season. She would have finished a well-held third had the runaway leader not fallen at the last at Catterick earlier this month, but still appears to be learning on the job, and there should be much more to come now handicapping. Kitty Hall will stay further than 2m, but the switch to this more galloping track will suit, and she can come out on top.
