Duffle Coat - 13:35 Listowel
Duffle Coat has the pedigree for jumping and hails from the powerful Gordon Elliot yard, but the market suggested the manner of his debut success came as something of a surprise. Looking more professional than most, despite not having raced previously, Duffle Coat routed his rivals in impressive fashion at Punchestown earlier this month, looking one of the best juvenile prospects seen so far. He has plenty of scope for improvement so is the clear one to beat.
Arthur's Baby - 14:45 Listowel
Arthur's Baby landed a gamble to get off the mark in handicaps at the first time of asking at Cork last month, making a mockery of her initial mark as she won with plenty in hand. She left the impression that she should have followed up at Wexford just three days on, conceding first run to the winner after possibly waiting a tad too patiently, and her chances of making amends were quickly over as she departed at the second at Punchestown last time. She remains with potential and is expected to be bang there.
Rosgalme - 15:45 Listowel
Rosgalme is bred for longer trip, his dam being out of a useful chaser who stayed three miles, so it bodes well that he was able to win over two miles on his bumper debut at Thurles in November, ridden entering the straight and staying on to lead on the line. He makes his hurdling debut after a ten-month absence, and with the significant step up in trip likely to suit, he appeals as the one to side with.
