Prairie Dancer - 16:25 Fairyhouse
Prairie Dancer really caught the eye on debut at Cork last month, slowly into stride and racing off the pace, but really getting the hang of things late on, a strong finishing effort seeing him claim fourth. He couldn't justify even-money favouritism at the same venue last time, only running to the same level and unable to quicken past the winner in the final 50 yards, but he did pull nicely clear of the remainder of the field. There should be more to come from Joseph O'Brien's charge and he holds leading claims here.
Shalaalaa - 16:55 Fairyhouse
Shalaalaa got very worked up in the stalls and was left behind over a furlong out when last of four in the Marble Hill at Cork last time, but he can have that run overlooked, and it is probably best to focus on his promising debut effort prior. Bred to be sharp, Shalaalaa overcame inexperience to make a winning start to his career over this course and distance in June, looking a useful prospect as he stayed on to lead close home. He still remains with the capacity for improvement and, now he has been gelded, he is certainly one to keep an eye on in handicaps.
New Treasure - 17:25 Fairyhouse
New Treasure ran as if in need of the run for both fitness and experience when seventh on debut last month, but he caused a big surprise when showing much improved form to land the Round Tower Stakes at Curragh last time, settling a lot better under more patient tactics and knowing a bit more than the favourite in the finish. He sets a high standard on that evidence, and with further improvement anticipated, he gets the vote to follow up.
