It was a great time for the guys at the Sportsbook to offer the boosted multiple price yesterday as we fired in a 66/1 double (boosted from 40/1) following the victories of Gameface and Holme Abbey at Hexham.

Anywhere near the same return on Wednesday would be rather nice and we can start with Robin Of Sherwood in the 14:20.

He acts at Warwick as he finished second recently from today's mark of 102, so it was good to see him bounce back after a below par performance at Fakenham.

However, he saves his best for Ffos Las with two wins there and has shown at that course he stays well with plenty of stamina. Keep that in mind with the possibility of softer conditions today and he looks a fair each-way bet at 9/1 considering he is fairly consistent.

Can Clondaw promise to keep his improvement going?

Antony looks a well handicapped horse in the finale, and he was close to making the list, but preference is for the top weight and unexposed Jonjo O'Neill runner Clondaw Promise.

He has caught the eye on a couple of occasions, mainly over shorter distances, but he showed some improvement when upped to 3m on his latest start at Wincanton. He was given a fair bit to do in the race, and while he was no match for the winner, there was something to work with.

Compared to some of his rivals he is well handicapped and has form in testing conditions. Hopefully we can have more rain by the time of the finale.
