The Daily Racing Multiple bet is at Wolverhampton this evening, and there's a chance to use the extra places on offer with the Sportsbook for two big prices...
"At another big price, both are EXTRA PLACE SPECIAL RACES on the Sportsbook so we can use that to play four places at 1/5 odds for both in an each-way double."
We head to Wolverhampton for the first pick today and it's my old friend Secret Potion - who has become something of a "cliff" horse around the all-weather tracks this winter.
I backed him in mid-January when he finished third over course and distance, and it might be pocket talking, but he was unlucky running on late from a poor position and wide. That seems to be the way most of his runs go. Finishing well when the race is over.
However, that January effort was in a better grade and he is down to his lowest-ever mark of 55.
If you're backing him as a stand alone bet, it might be worth to play at a bigger price in the run and maybe use a lay-to-back, as he doesn't bounce out quickly despite wearing blinkers these days. He is a 9/1 chance on the Sportsbook.
Another chance for Brendan to shine
Shine On Brendan is a similar type to Secret Potion in the sense that he has a chance from the handicapper and has been running okay at Wolverhampton without success.
He met some trouble in the closing stages at the track last time when finishing fourth although it was as a slightly messy affair in terms of the pace behind a big price winner Elixsoft.
His last five outings have seen him go down 4L, 3L, 2L, 1L and 1L so he's inching closer to that elusive victory.
At another big price, both are EXTRA PLACE SPECIAL RACES on the Sportsbook so we can use that to play four places at 1/5 odds for both in an each-way double.
